I know that I know nothing. The more I learn, the less I understand. I like to think that this applies to me. Even though it’s a paradox, and even though it seems self-righteous. Knowing that I know nothing feels liberating and humbling at the same time. But to maintain this state of consciousness is not easy. Why smart people can still make stupid assumptions
If something positive or negative happens, we try to find a reason for it. A cause for the effect generated. We do this because we want good things to happen again. Finding the cause of a good thing enables us to reproduce it. The same goes for negative events. Knowing the cause prevents the effect from happening again.
